From here I’ll try to post on some of the classes I am taking or some of the songs I am learning.  For example, in my Rock and Blues class we are studying The British Invasion.   It began by studying early blues players like Robert Johnson, Albert King, B.B. King and moved on to players like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton.  Last week I was tested on my ability to play “Ticket to Ride” by the Beatles, and this week I am playing “Brown Sugar” by the Rolling Stones.  Being George and John last week went well, and I am hoping my Keith Richards imitation is the same. BUT my views have changed.  Today where can you go to hang out with other people?  The bars? Shops? Movies?  Things in the country have been set up for people to be alone… and most of us feel comfortable with ourselves.  alone, making our own decisions, controlling are environment.

YES those people at Starbucks can be weird and a little off the norm, but i really think they might be doing their best to find people, and they have found their community at Starbucks.  probably not the best community of all time, but something better than being alone.  People know their name, know their drink, and usually stop to talk to them like they are cared for.

SO maybe i am saying go out of your comfort zone.  instead of two shots in your latte, try three or four.
